A Christmas Commemoration

Róisín organised and hosted a literary performance event at Ballymun Library to celebrate and commemorate loved ones whom we miss. This event was dedicated to the local Ballymun poet, Seán O’Donoghue. Róisín and Ansonix opened with a poem to music collaboration they had written together for Seán. There was poetry, fictional and non-fictional stories and thoughts shared by Róisín, Mary Oyediran, Seán (audio), Christina Molloy, John Eniola, Tomás Jenkinson, Andrew Lee, Deborah Palmer, John Finnan, Langalihle Nkambule and Nancy Matchton-Owens. Clowns For HaitiFundraiser

Róisín-Anne Jenkinson and Charles John organised a diverse performance event to fundraise for the Irish charity Clowns For Haiti at St Catherine’s Church, Thomas Street. Yannika Frank opened the show with stunning original songs. Milena Matejko painted prophetically throughout the show. A few of the clowns put on a skit, followed by performances of poetry, stories, live art and songs,ending with a raffle. The other performers included; Sophia Molloy, Langalihe Nkambule, Sharron Duggan, Michaela Jenkinson and Róisín. Photography by Paul McNamara and Mechthild Jenkinson.

Hillcity Open Mic

Róisín organised and hosted monthly open mic nights at The Compassion Centre, Ballymun. This facilitated an encouraging space for anyone to share poetry, stories, music, performance, etc. Posters/flyers and media distribution were created by Róisín.

Poetry in the Park: ‘Where We Come From’ book tour

Following the book launch, Róisín organised four Saturday afternoon sessions of poetry in various parks around Dublin, with featured poets; Nancy Matchton Owens, Kasey Shelley, Philip Lynch, Seán O’Donoghue, Bernadette O’Reilly, Bob Shakeshaft, Ruairi Conneely, Ailish Kerr, Rebecca Kealy, Kevin Barrington and Michael Connaughton and musicians; Valerian Askelovic and Jeremy Jenkinson. Knights of Ballymun: ‘Where We Come From’ book launch

As part of Róisín’s book launch, she organised and hosted the first open mic night at The Compassion Centre, Ballymun. Many creative people showcased all types of beautiful talent; sharing poems, stories, songs, music, dance, live art. Róisín curated a live art event of performances to coincide with Lenten Labyrinth: A Journey of Solace at Block B, Smithfield. She embarked on an experiential journey of rest and reflection with artists; Dzidek Zwirner, Valerian Askelovic, Cian Downes, Rebecca Kealy, Amy Guilfoyle, Jack Beglin and Éva Szántó-Nádudvari.
